Open email options increase at LinuxWorld

Scalix, Open-Xchange, Zimbra and others are battling to be the best open-source business email server. It's a positive development that significant open source software companies could be prime acquisition targets, says Dave Rosenberg, an analyst at Open Source Development Labs. Among them are SugarCRM, MySQL, JasperSoft (business intelligence) and even Novell (the Suse Linux distribution). Novell pledges support for NetWare 6.5

Novell customers who use NetWare 6.5 will be supported through at least 2015, CEO Jack Messman said at his company's annual conference. Yet the company is still on a new products tear.
