Oracle certifies pretested stacks

Oracle is now certifying 10 pretested software stacks for Linux, officials said. They've also completed pretesting for storage switches from Brocade Communications Systems and Cisco Systems, and for storage itself from start-up Pillar Data Systems (founded and funded by Oracle's Larry Ellison.) Oracle's shopping spree finally pays off

Oracle's income jumped 27 percent to $1.3 billion (24 cents a share) for its fourth quarter, compared with $1.02 billion (20 cents) last year, while revenue jumped 25 percent to $4.85 billion from $3.88 billion.
