General Electric creates new 500GB holographic disc
By utilizing a holographic recording technique that it calls "micro-holographic storage," General Electric researchers have managed to cram some 500GB of data onto an optical disc the size of a DVD.

on Monday this week announced its StorageTek T10000B Fibre Channel-based tape
drive. With a storage capacity of 1TB,
it comes at twice Sun's previous top capacity of just 500GB.
