Microsoft, as expected, announced a corporate reorganization. Its seven divisions are now three: Platform Products & Services, Business, and Entertainment and Devices. The purpose is to make the company more agile, said CEO Steve Ballmer, who created the seven divisions originally. By putting servers on the same footing as Windows, it shows that Microsoft sees Internet companies like eBay, Google, and Yahoo as top rivals. The move also thins some operations redundancy.
