Windows Longhorn roadmap revealed for 2007+

Microsoft's focus this week is on Windows Vista Beta 2, but officials also said Windows Server, a.k.a. Longhorn, is now scheduled to ship late in 2007. Beta 2 debuted this week, Beta 3 will arrive in the first half of 2007, and there will be periodic smaller previews, they said. Other upcoming Windows products include Small Business Server R2 (this summer), Server 2003 Compute Cluster Edition (later this year), the mid-market Centro version of Longhorn (2008), SQL Server a.k.a. Katmai (probably 2007 or 2008) and Longhorn Server R2 (2009).
