Wikipedia used to distribute malicious code
If there's one thing that I can say about hackers, it's that they have a strong sense of irony. The online encyclopedia has revealed that hackers planted a malware application in a link to a patch for a supposed Lovesan/W32.Blaster outbreak. The page claimed that Wikipedia had been asked by Microsoft to host the patch and hackers used spam links to rope in unaware users. This type of attack is something that enterprises should be on the look out for, especially as Wikis gain acceptance in the web community.
