Why hackers love Netflix

Hackers, it appears, love Netflix as much as the rest of us, if not more. The firm is a potential gateway to 6.3 million subscribers--an automatic draw for hackers--and the prospects of cracking Netflix content protection of films can earn bragging rights and dollars to those who can exploit any vulnerability. The king of online DVD rentals ships some 1.5 million DVDs a day. An article in Wired notes that after Netflix released its Watch Now instant viewing feature, which allows customers to stream movies and TV shows over the Internet, one hacker claims to have bypassed the device that limits subscriber's viewing time.
