Western Digital announce 6TB My Book Studio Edition II
Hard disk maker Western Digital has announced the My Book Studio Edition II, a direct attached storage (DAS) system with a maximum capacity of up to 6TB using two hard disk drives. The DAS offers quad interface for data transfers, including eSATA, FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0. In addition, the two internal 3TB Caviar Green HDD can be configured in either RAID 0 for performance or RAID 1 for reliability. The storage system is available for a suggested price of $549.99.
