VMware to test new high-end software

With the new beta version of ESX Server 3.0, EMC subsidiary VMware aims to set a higher bar for server virtualization. Load balancing, cluster management and data backup tools are some of the new features. How much the backup tools integrate with EMC's former Legato and Dantz software remains to be seen, but the price is right: It starts at $3,750, which in big-company terms might as well be free.
