Vista SP1 RC1 is up for grabs
Are you getting so anxious waiting for Windows Vista's first Service Pack that you can barely contain yourself? If so, you might want to head over to Microsoft's website where you can now download the first release candidate of Vista SP1. As part of their "Public Availability Program," the company is offering up a download of Vista SP1 RC1 to anyone who wants it. While release candidates are usually extremely close to the final product, they still constitute pre-release software, so proceed with the same sort of caution you would exercise with a beta. Still, if you're looking to test out those new features or that supposed networking speed boost before SP1 hits the streets for real, now is your chance.
