Video: Palm Gandolf (800p) caught on tape?
Remember the mysterious Palm "Gandolf," a.k.a. the Palm 800w/p? While the would-be low-end smartphone would certainly fill a hole in Palm's lineup quite nicely, we've been rather skeptical up until now. However, much like with Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster and R. Kelly, we're always more than happy to have a video prove us wrong. Having said that, the latest Gandolf leak--you guessed it, a video demonstrating someone actually using the device--has us pretty well convinced. Judging by the video, it looks like the thing is running Palm's OS Garnet and not Windows Mobile 6 after all. Additionally, it appears to be running on GSM network and sports a microSD slot, an IR port and a 1150 mAh Li-ion battery. Need further confirmation that this is the real deal? Shortly after surfacing, the leaked video was pulled from YouTube "due to a copyright claim by Palm, Inc."
