If you're a serious business traveler, chances are that you have to bid a tearful goodbye to a loved one before going abroad: your BlackBerry. Unless you use a GSM network like Cingular's, your beloved smartphone is probably rendered useless the minute you set foot on foreign soil. So for you, the frequent business traveler, Verizon and RIM have created the BlackBerry 8830 World Phone, which uses it's dual-mode CDMA/GSM guts to snag you a signal both at home and overseas. The phone also features a QVGA screen, microSD slot, and 3G EV-DO. No word yet on either price or release date but rest assured, we'll keep you posted.
