Veritas ships 64-bit software for AMD

Veritas is now shipping 64-bit versions of NetBackup, Volume Manager, and File System applications for the AMD Opteron platform, officials said. Those are all available for Windows and Linux (Red Hat and SuSE). A 64-bit Linux version of OpForce is also available, as are the 64-bit versions of Backup Exec and High Availability for Windows. If you're wondering, Veritas' merger into Symantec is still not done, but it should be soon, officials said.
