VeriSign, ICANN reach domains agreement

VeriSign will continue running the .com and .net domains until at least 2012 and will probably raise its prices, based on an ICANN vote in favor of the company. But a group representing eight of the top registrars strongly opposes the decision, as do a variety of online rights advocates, politicians, etc. Next come the lawsuits.
