Toshiba unveils Portégé M700 tablet

Still waiting on that official Latitude XT announcement, eh? This should keep you busy, in the meantime: Toshiba just announced their Portégé M700 tablet and it's no slouch. Inside the accent-friendly device you'll find Intel's Santa Rosa chipset, up to a 2.4Ghz T7700 Core 2 Duo, integrated Intel X3100 graphics, up to 4GB of RAM, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 802.11a/g/n WiFi and up to 160GB of internal storage. On the outside you'll find Vista Business, a 12.1", LED-backlit LCD touchscreen that supports both stylus and finger input, a built-in webcam, a spill-resistant keyboard, a fingerprint scanner, a swappable drive bay and an accelerometer to protect that hard drive. Available now, at a reasonable starting price of $1700.
