Tibco readies rich Internet apps play

Tibco's new General Interface 3.0 is now available. The new dashboarding software uses the increasingly popular AJAX technique -- asynchronous Java and XML -- to offer full-featured but thin-client applications. General Interface is designed for developers; the new version communicates with web services and saves time with reusable components. Its competition is Macromedia's Flash/Flex suite.
