ThinkPad X61 tablet going to Santa Rosa in June
Like the lowly caterpillar that transforms into a majestic butterfly, every ThinkPad must eventually undergo a metamorphosis. You'll recall that the T60, recently graduated to the school of Santa Rosa with the T61, to the applause of ThinkPad fans near and far. Not one to be left behind, the X60 ThinkPad tablet is also getting ready to change things up and Tablet PC Review claims to have the leaked specs for the upcoming X61 tablet. Apparently, a spec sheet was (accidentally?) posted to IBM's website, laying bare the X61 for all to see. If the spec sheet is correct, you can expect a 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo L7500 ULV CPU, a 12.1-inch touchscreen sporting resolutions of up to 1,400 x 1,050 pixels, up to 160GB of storage and 2GB of RAM, and all of the standard wireless support and ports that you've come to expect. No word yet on pricing but the X61 should be landing in June.
