ThinkPad goes widescreen with 15.4" display
Oh the times, they are a-changing. That perennial business favorite, the ThinkPad, which has long sported a familiar look, is finally going widescreen. While everyone from Apple to HP now offers widescreen laptops, competition from the likes of Dell has forced Lenovo to acknowledge that widescreen displays are just as desirable for business users. The new widescreen ThinkPad, which sports a 15.4-inch widescreen, weighs in at only 5.1 pounds, making it the lightest widescreen laptop being offered by a major manufacturer. "Lenovo is a little late to the game because Dell's entire lineup of corporate systems is available in widescreen right now," said Samir Bhavnani, research director at Current Analysis. "Dell just identified a market shift before Lenovo did."
