Tech giants collaborate for management spec
The recently built Web Services for Management protocol is now in the hands of the Distributed Management Task Force organization for standardization. It's intended to run applications, devices, and servers, and to work with - not against - the OASIS group's Web Services Distributed Management specification. The companies behind it include AMD, BMC, Computer Associates, Dell, Fujitsu-Siemens, Intel, Microsoft, NEC, Novell, Symantec, and specialist WBEM Solutions.
