The buzz around tablet computers won't be going away anytime soon. By the end of 2010, Gartner predicts 19.5 Million units will be sold. The research firm expects strong growth in the tablet market in the coming years as well, with sales of 54.8 Million tablets projected for 2011 and more than 208 Million tablets to be sold in 2014.

Just last week, Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) CEO Paul Otellini observed that tablets will "probably" impact PC sales. With tablet predictions this large, it looks more certain that other products will be burned as the tablet grows in popularity. "Mini-notebooks will suffer from the strongest cannibalization threat as media tablet average selling prices drop below $300 over the next two years," Gartner researcher Carolina Milanesi said in a statement.
