T-Mobile launching 3G network next week?
Old T-Mobile has been playing us hot and cold with their 3G network for over a year now--it seems like every time we see irrefutable evidence of its existence, the network somehow fails to materialize. So don't hold it against us if we sound a little skeptical this time around: according to the Inquirer, T-Mobile "is expected to make an announcement that it will provide a 3G service on December 6." The evidence? Apparently one of the Inquirer's readers called up a T-Mo customer service rep and was told that the company would be announcing its 3G network "on or before 6 December 2007," as per a top secret internal document. As tenuous as this all might sound, we've been expecting T-Mobile to get with the program for a while now, so I certainly wouldn't rule this one out completely.
