T-Mobile axes Sidekick Slide

T-Mobile's Motorola-manufactured Sidekick Slide managed to garner a number of good reviews shortly after its launch but unfortunately, it looks like it was all for naught: amid complaints from users of a faulty sliding mechanism that caused the phone to power off at inopportune times, T-Mobile has pulled the Sidekick Slide from its lineup. The device disappeared from T-Mobile online and brick-and-mortar stores on Friday, though this looks to be a temporary thing, at least until Motorola figures out the source of the problem. In the meantime, if you're a Sidekick Slide owner, you've been advised to take your device into the nearest T-Mo store to "discuss available options."
