AT&T CEO confirms 3G iPhone in 2008
Granted, this isn't exactly breaking news--we've already heard the same straight from his Steveness--but it's nice to get a little confirmation from the carrier as well. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson recently confirmed that a 3G version of the iPhone is scheduled to land in 2008--the only question that remains now is when in 2008 we'll see it. MacWorld 2008, which is scheduled for mid-January, seems to offer the perfect opportunity to announce iPhone 2.0--especially since the original iPhone was announced exactly one year prior. The question is, would folks who bought iPhones over the holidays feel cheated if a new version was announced less than a month later? Perhaps not: remember that the original iPhone was announced some five months before its release, to avoid an untimely outing of the device by the FCC. So what say you, readers of DailyTechRag, do you expect to see a 3G iPhone announcement at MacWorld? And what features are you hoping to see in iPhone 2.0? Let us know in the comments.
