Synology DS211+ NAS offers improved hardware, quieter operation
Synology has taken its earlier DS210+ NAS and tweaked its design to make an already excellent 2-bay storage appliance even better. Taking earlier feedback to heart, Synology has incorporated a hot-swappable hard disk design into the new DS211+, as well as using a large 92mm fan for more efficient air-flow at low speeds--ensuring a lower noise level. The company says special material lines the snap-on front cover to keep the noise level down further, while a new integrated SD card reader has also been added to benefit photographers. In addition, the DS211+ comes preinstalled with the company's new DSM 3.0 interface and supports drives of up to 3TB. Article
