Scandals

Symantec said it will phase out the appliances side of its IT security business. The product familes known as SGS and SNS were not doing well financially against hardware giants like Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks and various specialists, so Symantec decided to focus exclusively on management software. Officials said 80 people were laid off because of this, although SGS/SNS customers will still recieve support for an unspecified timeframe.
