Symantec addresses IM security, compliance

Symantec's new IM Manager 8.0 basically brings existing technologies from anti-virus software into the instant messaging realm, with a corporate twist. The software has features for blocking voice communications, logging tools for compliance rules and, most importantly, stopping worms from popping open IM windows on your screen. Better yet, it's selling for just $40 per user.
