Sun's restructuring leaves product questions
In the wake of Sun's planned layoffs of 5,000 people, which specific products will be affected? The only comment from Sun so far is, "the company has not identified products or projects that will be affected at this time." Observers say there will be probably be a quicker rate of canceling older storage products and some merging of the UltraSparc and Opteron-based server product lines. Customers will likely see merging on sales and support teams as well.
