Sun Microsystems not only gained back some server market share, they were also the only major company to do so in the second quarter, IDC said. Either way, they're now at 15.5 percent of server sales by revenue with a $1.59 billion quarter. That's still well behind IBM and Hewlett-Packard but ahead of Dell. The good news for Sun fans comes with a catch: the newfound sales were based more on traditional UltraSparc servers than on the cutting-edge Galaxy series.
