Sun releases some Niagara servers
Sun Microsystems launched its much-hyped Sun Fire T2000 server, available with eight of the new 1.2GHz Niagara cores--so don't be confused when they advertise it as 9.6GHz. Sun also has some unique buying options, such as a 90-day try-before-you-buy program and a warranty program similar to those offered on new cars. There are a few new performance monitoring tools also available now.
