Sun buys SeeBeyond for $387M

To encourage Java's enterprise ubiquity and sell more servers, too, Sun Microsystems needs to give customers really strong middleware. SeeBeyond might be the answer. Sun announced it is acquiring the software company for $387 million. On the heels of Sun's $4.1 billion acquisition of StorageTek, are they becoming a mini-IBM? If so, then perhaps a managed services deal or a rejuvanation of the Cray buyout rumor will come up again soon.
