Sprint launches EV-DO mobile service
Sprint is about to debut its third-generation wireless network in 34 markets. The company will sell the service starting at $40 per month for 40MB of data, up to a maximum of $90 per month. There will be an unlimited business version for $80 per month. The service uses a technology called EV-DO and the wireless cards will switch to standard CDMA in incompatible areas. How much faster will real-life data transmission be? I'm looking forward to hearing customer reports.
