Sun shareholders approve merger with Oracle

Sun Microsystems has announced that its shareholders have voted in favor of a merger with software juggernaut Oracle. Of course, the acquisition will still have to cross the desk of the U.S. Department of Justice, though Oracle appears to be confident of that hurdle. When news of an Oracle-Sun deal first emerged in April, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was reportedly at a loss for words.
