Some people never change. Good old Bill Gates, for example. Sure, he may be devoting more of his attention to philanthropy than software these days but that doesn't mean that he's lost his competitive edge. During a speech at Stanford University yesterday, he stressed Microsoft's goal for being "number one" in all of the markets that it serves.
