Seagate, Paramount preload movies onto portable hard disks
In the first initiative of its kind, Seagate and Paramount Pictures have announced that they have teamed together to pre-load selected movies onto portable hard disk drive (HDD). In a bid to explore new methods of distributing movies, one film will come unlocked for free while the remaining 20 movies are only available after the purchase of a key, with each key priced between $9.99 to $14.99. As an added incentive, Seagate says its 500GB FreeAgent Go portable HDD that comes preloaded with the movies will be available for a limited time at just $99 (original price: $139.99) from the Seagate website.
