Red Hat unveils beta for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 2.2
Red Hat has just released a new beta of its Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) KVM hypervisor this week. Version 2.2 will double the number of supported virtual CPUs to 16 and increase the amount of addressable memory all the way to 256GB. Indeed, Red Hat says that the hypervisor can actually support up to 1TB of memory, though that is not yet rigorously tested. Of course, this might be a moot point since there are not many servers that support up to 1TB of memory at the moment. Article
