SPOTLIGHT: Red Hat speaks out, again
November 5, 2006 — 7:01pm ET
It's been a rough few weeks for the folks at Red Hat: first came Oracle's announcement and now Microsoft's partnership with Novell. Still, the Linux developer seems determined to remain optimistic. The latest scoop is that Red Hat's corporate secretary Mark Webbink has spoken out, predicting that Red Hat "will be the dominant player in the Linux market" within a year and that "by that time there won't be any other Linux players." Did I say optimistic? Make that unrealistic.
