Parallels has unveiled Desktop 7 for Mac, which runs at least 60 percent faster than the previous version when resuming Windows, and up to 45 percent faster for certain 3D applications. For those who are not aware, Parallels Desktop is essentially a virtualization software for the Mac OS X platform that lets users access their Windows applications using a Windows virtual machine. The new version incorporates more than 90 new and enhanced features, as well as full Mac OS X Lion integration. Overall, Parallels 7 seems more responsive and speedier than the previous version.
