Spotlight: OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 PCIe SSD
OCZ this week launched the RevoDrive 3 X2 PCIe-based solid-state drive (SSD) for maximum disk throughput for high-end workstations. Equipped with four SandForce SF-2281 controllers, the X2 is available in capacities of 240GB, 480GB and 960GB and touted as supporting extreme performance of 1.5Gbps for sequential read and 1.25Gbps for sequential write using multi-level cell NAND flash chips. The Virtualized Controller Architecture 2.0 virtualization layer developed by OCZ provides support for TRIM and SCSI unmap support, and the models are priced at $699, $1,699 and $3,199 respectively.
