New Seagate GoFlex family emphasizes connectivity-flexibility
Leading hard disk manufacturer Seagate has unveiled a new generation of its well-known FreeAgent external storage drive. The GoFlex family employs the innovative use of interchangeable cable plug-ins that connects to a smart dock. The smart dock comes with ingrained intelligence to enable new types of cables, and also manages the hard disk drive. The result is users who are no longer forced to buy a new drive due to the obsolescence of older connectivity options. For now, desktop drives incorporating GoFlex are available in capacities of up to 2TB while the portable GoFlex drives are available at up to 1TB. Article
