Microsoft moves XP to reduced-support phase

Microsoft has confirmed that it will be dropping Windows XP from "mainstream support" beginning today, April 14. This means Microsoft will only be offering support on a pre-paid or a per-incident basis, and even then, only customers who have paid to be on its Extended Hotfix Support plan can be assisted.
