Kingston announces DataTraveler Ultimate USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Slowly but surely, the move toward USB 3.0 appears to be gaining momentum; this time, with the announcement of the DataTraveler Ultimate flash drive from flash memory maker Kingston. With support for the USB 3.0 interface, the DT Ultimate performs at a blistering 80MB/s read and 60MB/s write speeds, much faster than then the theoretical maximum speed of the USB 2.0 interface. Being on the cutting edge doesn't come cheap though; available in configuration of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, the DT Ultimate is priced at $89, $138 and $270 respectively. Article
