Iomega announces new External SSD Flash Drives
Iomega today announced a new external Solid State Drive (SSD) storage device with a blistering fast USB 3.0 interface for up to 5 gigabits per second of data transfer. The pocket-sized 1.8-inch flash drive is available in capacities of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, and in a metal enclosure that protects from drops of up to 10 feet. More importantly, the new external storage device features 256-bit hardware data encryption for security. Iomega says its External SSD Flash Drive USB 3.0 will be available worldwide in early November for US$229, US$399 and US$749, for the 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models respectively. Press release
