Intel will launch dual-core Atom processor this quarter
Intel (NASDAQ: INTEL) CEO Paul Otellini has confirmed that the company will introduce a dual-core Atom processor this quarter. Additional details remain scarce at the moment; a spokeswoman has declined to reveal whether the dual-core Atom processors will be positioned towards netbooks or smaller desktops. It must be pointed out that the latest processor in the Atom product line was just released in February.
