A new version of the popular open-source video transcoder software Handbrake has been released. Version 0.94 sports a host of more than 1,000 changes, including the availability of a "live preview," 10 percent faster encoding, and 64-bit support. In addition, subtitles can now be included in their DVD rips--which can be disabled or enabled. On the flip side though, AVI, OGG/OGM and XviD support have been removed from this release. I've started using it to encode videos for my iPod Touch a couple of months back, and I'm definitely going to grab the latest release. You can download Handbrake here. Article
