Google partners with VMware to target businesses

VMware and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) are teaming up to target the enterprise, with an emphasis on the Google App Engine for Business. In a nutshell, both companies are working together to integrate Java into Google programming by means of the Spring Java platform. The vision is to allow enterprise programmers to create applications in the Java language that can run in the Google App Engine for business, as well as in an on-premise VMware environment. This could eventually also include other infrastructure that is compatible with the standard Java Stack, such as Amazon's EC2.
