Spotlight: Google Maps back on iPhone

Google Maps is available for the iPhone again. The revamped app comes with features not found in Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) default maps app, such as public transit directions, and brings back the ability to overlay current traffic conditions with the map of the area. Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Maps also offers turn-by-turn navigation, which was not available on the previous version of the app. Already, Google says there have been 10 million downloads of Google Maps since its return to iOS last week. It didn't specify the number of downloads for the iPad version of the app.
