Spotlight: Fusion-io unveils ioDrive2, ioDrive2 Duo flash drives
Fusion-io has announced the release of its new ioDrive2 and ioDrive2 Duo flash drives, which Fusion-io says offers double the performance, bandwidth and density of its first generation flash offerings. In addition to supporting system-level integration with the company's VSL 3.0 software subsystem, the new flash drives comes with a self-healing feature called Adaptive FlashBack that offers complete chip-level fault tolerance. The MLC versions of the ioDrive2 and ioDrive2 Duo will be offered in 365GB, 785GB, 1205GB and 2.4TB capacities, while SLC versions will be available in 400GB, 600GB and 1.2 TB capacities in late November.
