Fujitsu integrates 'zero client' into monitor
IT solutions provider Fujitsu has teamed up with Pano Logic, the California startup that is touting a "zero client" approach to desktop virtualization. The partnership will see Fujitsu making a monitor incorporating Pano Logic's "zero client" technology. Pano Logic debuted this technology as a dumbed-down end-point hardware cube that lets users access desktops hosted within a central server. By eliminating parts such as a processor and built-in memory, the company hopes to dramatically bring down the price per end-point. Integrating the technology with the display appears to be an extension of its strategy to concentrate costs to the central server. Article
