File-hosting site complains against Firefox plug-in

File-hosting site MediaFire is up in arms over a Firefox plug-in that allows users to automate the downloading of files from its servers, as well as with similar services from other sites. MediaFire is unhappy because the SkipScreen plug-in allows users to bypass its ads, ripping that part of its revenue model to shreds. The irony? Well, the SkipScreen plug-in displays its own ads in place of MediaFire's. For now, MediaFire is demanding that Mozilla not link to the plug-in, though it does not appear that will happen anytime soon.
