Spotlight: Eneloop 1800x rechargeable battery

Sanyo has unveiled a new generation of eneloop rechargeable batteries that bump up the total number of recharge cycles to 1,800. In addition, the new batteries offer a longer storage time of up to 70 percent of their charge, even after five years of storage. In comparison, standard nickel-metal hydride has a higher self-discharge rate and will lose a significant portion of its charge within weeks. The eneloop 1800x will be available after November 15.
